It certainly could be, and the technology is not so far away it would seem. Following its acquisition of Seadragon software in February, Microsoft’s people have certainly not been resting on their laurels, and a few weeks ago the Seadragon architect, Blaise Aguera y Arcas, gave a jaw-dropping presentation on what could be on our computer screens in the not-too-distant future.
