Problems commenting on my blog?
A couple of people have sent me emails recently, telling me that they are having problems commenting on my blog. The problem seems to be with the authentication code that you are supposed to type in not appearing on the screen when you try to leave a message. This problem only seems to be happening the 2nd time a user leaves a message (presumably something to do with the computer remembering your details or a glitch in the space/time continuum or something like that!). Well the news is that I am working on a solution and have tried a couple of things to maybe sort it out. “Jan” left me 2 messages on the site last night which gives me hope that maybe the problem has been resolved, but if you have a minute or 2, please try posting a couple of comments on my stories. I can help you with this one. The server does remember the user from the first time he/she’s left a message but there is a little clickable link next to the “Welcome back [Username]” message which says “change”. If the user clicks this, he will be able to change his username and email add if he likes. And there he will also find a box to enter the required anti-spam word for the current comment. Once he enters the anti-spam word, his comment will be posted with no problems. This has to be done for every consecutive comment after the first ever comment.

When I open the link to change my profile name, at the comments, the security words show up!
Well, It works and Jan’s comment didn’t show up untill I could post my previous comment!

yeah i gots a problem! awhile back i wanted to comment on anime’s fantasy-laden S&M themes but got the message that it was blocked because i used the word ” r + ape” (put together obviously)!! WTF?!!
brian - yeah, that’s the swearing and spam filter I’ve got on the site because otherwise I get about 200 comments a day asking me if I want to cure my impotence. My exes have been talking to too many people!!!
Uh, guess that was a slip of the keyboard fingers, duh.
