Thanks for the comment Tom, and for taking the time to read my article on this. I agree with you completely about him, although I'm liking him more as I get older!

Sometimes I love Clarkson. At other times I'd like to punch him in the face. Either way, he gets you riled up. Journalists take note.

Love the Clarkson dry sarcasm. About to start another of his books. Very insightful. Clarkson for Prime Minister I think, or Foreign Secretary. Let Boris Johnson get Prime Minister, that'd make England a place to come home to!!

Messrs Corals,

I must also implore you to use capital letters at the start of sentences, when you use proper nouns, and when use use the letter "I" as a first person pronoun. Your usage of it only seemed to be in the acronym PADI and the B in British. You'll also want to check your spelling as there are a couple of mistakes in there. And finally, you'll want to remove the indirect pronoun "a" before the "self-contained underwater breathing apparatus".

Those comments I made above were partly because they are things that slaughter the English language, and partly because of the nature of my full time profession here in Japan. As you are a regular reader (although you say "we" - is this comment on behalf of a group of people), you will know that my full time job is an educator here in Okinawa. So I can't dive every day. As you seem to have been watching the weather pretty closely in Okinawa, I'm sure you'll have seen that conditions on the island have only just changed for the better in the past 5 days. A persistent front has brought westerly winds for over 6 weeks, making the vast majority of the dive sites unsafe and undiveable. And then there was the typhoon which you'll have read about a few issues ago.

Keep tuning in - when I get into the water I will be posting about my experiences and, as always, posting dive logs.

dave, we really enjoy the culture but we want you to get back to the diving. according to our records, the weather has been agreable where you live for the past week or more, but when we reconcile this with your postings, we find little evidence to substantiate that you, as a PADI instructor, have been breather air from a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus during that time. i must implore you to placate your diving fan base more by diving, even though you may be busy. we duly require your proper British ambassador ship in the diving community.

Seen a few shows here and there on BBC World, although I don't remember him or any of his quotes.
