Hi Dave,

It's similar here in Thailand, kids are actually allowed to perform on TV shows, something that's unthinkable in the Netherlands.

To each his own I guess. Sometimes I am surprised at what is acceptable in Japan and sometimes I am surprised at what is acceptable in the US. Everyone has pros and cons.

But I think much of the world is seeing the new trend in 'little adults'. Kids always want to be adults, and when most of the people they see on TV dress and act a certain way, of course they want to be that.

Well, the parents' parenting skills in Japan are sometimes to be questionable. These are parents who will frequently let their kids jump and dance about in the passenger and back seats of cars. I saw one dancing on their mother's lap the other day, while she was driving!

I don't think Koda Kumi is the only one to blame. What about the parents who allow their daughters to do this?
