Comments: A nice deep dive to start the day, as we had a student who was doing the deep dives speciality.  Nothing too much of note on the dive, but plenty of fish out and a little current when we got to the deepest part of the dive

Comments: Conditions were getting a little rougher as the morning progressed, and especially between entry and exit of this dive.  It wasn’t a difficult exit (especially now with the steps), but you probably wouldn’t have wanted to take students in there.  We headed right this time and around the buoy.
Total dive time (hrs:mins): 82:34

Dive Number: 122
Date: 21/05/06
Location: Junkyard
Time in: 13:56
Time out: 14:32
Bottom time: 36 mins
Max depth: 15.8m
Average depth: 7.7m
Weight: 12 lbs
Exposure protection: 5mm wetsuit, gloves, booties
Type of diving: Saltwater, shore
Temperature: Air - 29C, water - 25.9C
Visibility: 10mm

Comments: Well, my first dive with the Uwatec Smart Com dive computer instead of my standard console.  The computer worked very well, although I’m not a huge fan of the compass.  Hopefully I’ll get used to it.  This dive wasn’t great.  When the visibility is low, Junkyard isn’t the best place to dive as there isn’t a huge number of fish and you can’t see the rolling soft coral.  But it was another dive and we made our way back to the entry spot once again, which was pleasing.
Total dive time (hrs:mins): 83:10
