Dives 117-119 (15/05/06)
Well, after what seems like an age out of the water, I finally got back in. Diving has had to come second to a social life over the past couple of weeks, which was awful as I missed so many beautiful days. But school was closed on Monday and I managed to find a dive buddy who was willing to take a sickie from work to come out with me! So here are the logs.

Comments: It felt very good to be back underwater, and especially to think that everyone else was working! After the usual off-road trek to the dive site, we had a nice relaxing dive. Visibility was ok, although there weren’t too many exciting fish out. We headed out left (south) over the fingers of coral, before coming back at a higher level.

Comments: We decided to switch location after the first dive - the skies were overcast and we didn’t want to get stuck at Onna in the rain. We made the short trip to Toilet Bowl and found good conditions, so jumped straight in. This was an excellent dive - plenty of lionfish and a couple of really big ones. Managed to hover next to a beautiful one for a minute or so - typical that this was the one dive I hadn’t brought my camera! Linds was trying out my fins & reg for the first time, to check them out. She liked the reg but said the fins would take some getting used to.

Comments: When the conditions are good, you can’t really turn down a second dive at Toilet Bowl. This time we headed right (North) and the bottom doesn’t drop off as steeply this way. We saw a couple of lionfish and a few othe rneat fish, but not as much as on the first dive. It was still really enjoyable though and we had no issues at all at entry or exit.
