Comments: My first dive for a while and it was a great one to get started back with. In conditions perfect for diving, we headed to Onna. The dive went well, sticking to the OW depth limit of 18m. The first thing we saw even before descending was an eel swimming below us. Headed down one of the crevices which was great, having rock walls going straight up either side of us. Saw quite a few fish around, but didn’t feel in the mood for taking photos. Just wanted to enjoy this dive and relish the gin-clear visibility.

Comments: After an hour of cooking under the Okinawan sun we had our 2nd dive of the day at Onna. The profile was pretty similar to the first dive, with the exception of not going down the crevice. This allowed us to get some more distance on the dive. Buddy had a couple of issues getting down on this dive, but made it after a minute. Again, the visibility was some of the best I’ve experienced here, and I hope it’s a sign of things to come.

Comments: The last dive of the day was taken after some sunbathing at a beach near Onna. We headed down to Junkyard (Sunabe North) for the final dive, and again the conditions were excellent. There is some beautiful coral here - it reminds me of rolling fields of coral that just seem to go on as far as the eye can see. The problem with this site is that there are no decent navigational aids so you have to be spot on with your natural navigation. I planned a circular shaped dive and was pretty pleased with how it came out.
